This is an extremely simple tutorial to configure emacs to view .launch files with color highlighting.

  1. Open ~/.emacs with your favorite text editor
  2. Add the following to the bottom of the file: 

; roslaunch highlighting
(add-to-list 'auto-mode-alist '("\\.launch$" . xml-mode))
  1. Save and reload emacs to see the change take effect!
